SPAIN AND MOROCCO
RALSULU’S DOWNFALL. [“The Times” Service.] (Received this day at 9 a.in.) LONDON, January 30. The “ Times ” Tangier* correspondent says that llaisulu’s downfall may (momentously change the position in Morocco. It is a moment of great inv portance. This is Abdel Krim’s latest victory, with the exception perhaps of the annihalition of the Spanish Army in 1921. He is now supreme in northern .Morocco. Raisulu already has proclaimed his allegiance to the Riffs, and planned a holy war against Spain. It is not the first time llaisuln has changed front, hut never was a change pregnant with such possibilities. Raisulu will undoubtedly blame the Spaniards for deserting him. He never really loved them, and will now assuredly hate them because of this misfortune. It remains to be seen what use Abdel Krim will make of Raisulu. There is no love lost between the two for no confidence exists.
