VICTORIA BEAT N.S.W. SYDNEY. January 29. 'l'lie Sheffield Shield match concluded in fine cool weather. After a showery night and morning, the wicket, which was covered, was in good order. Victoria in the second innings made 265 for three wickets llcndrv made 85. Wool nil (not out) lit) and Liddieut 88. Victoria won by seven, wickets. The hatting at first was slow, hut after lunch it became more aggressive. Hendry gave two easy chances. Woodful batted carefully. 'Jjlie scoring was slow throughout.
