HOKITIKA SCHOOL EXCURSION
TO RUNANGA, WEDNESDAY NEXT. The Hokitika School Excursion takes place to Runanga on Wednesday next, February 4th. There had been a doubt as to the Health Department making restrictions, but Dr Telford wired yesterday to the Secretary (Mr J. Conning) stating there were no restrictions on the West Coast. The excursion will therefore take place on Wednesday as arranged.
The train arrangements for the ex cur.sion arc as follows:
Train conveying Ross, Ruatapu, Manainii, Takutai, Kailiiuu, Arahura and Kumarn parties will leave Ross 7.55 a.ni., Kumara 9.35 a.m.; and the return leaves Runanga at 5.30 p.m. Train conveying the Hokitika, Ho-ITo and Awatuna parties will leave Hokitika 9.10 a.m., Awatuna 9.35 a.m., and the return leaves Runanga lit 5.55 p.m. The different parties will he carried only by trains as .specified. Tickets will be available at Hokitika on Monday from Mr H. R. Swcncy (Gas C'oy’s Office), Johnston and Co’s, and Mr J. King (stationer), and in the country places from the Secretaries of School Committees.
