McLEAN’S PICTURES. ■ ■ ■■■■ - GLOIMA GIVEV—FRIDAY. There is something about a Selznick Picture which invariably grips an audience, regardless of its.theuie, and “Bag and Baggage” which will have its premiere in the Princess Theatre on Friday is no exception to the rule. Phillip Anthony, a poor musician falls in love witfi the daughter of the wealthiest man in Goldendale. Hope dines in the gay restaurant on the hotel roof. Hal is there with Mrs Cooper, Lola, and*Jathrow Billings, whom Airs Cooper is trying to marry. Hal hastens to Hope’s table and arranges to meet her in the Hotel lobby the following morning. In the middle of the night Jatlirow Billings steals the hag which contains the Cooper’s jewellery and starts down the fire escape. He enters Hope's room and places the hag on the floor while he looks around. He then picks up Hope’s hag by mistake ami slips out into the hall. He goes to Hal Tracy and leaves the bag with him, saying it contains valuable papers. Airs Cooper notifies the management of her loss and the hotel detective suspects Hope, whom lie learns has left without paying her bill. He follows her to Goldendale, finds the missing jewellery in the hag she had been carrying and takes her to police headquarters. Hal arrives at the Anthony cottage just as the distracted musician is about to visit Hope at the jail. Tracy takes the old man in his car and they race to the prison. ATrs Cooper and Lola are demanding that Hope be prosecuted to the limit of the law. A two reel comedy, gazette, review and serial “Lightning Brvee” will support this gigantic star picture.
