THE BUTTER SLUMP.

WEI.I.IXCTOX, January 28. At a meeting of the Executive of the Xeu Zealand Fanners’ Union, Mr tV. J. Poison, presiding, a discussion took place on the recent slump in the butter market. The Chaim urn made the suggestion that the Executive should assure the Dairy Control Hoard that' it was strongly behind it in whatever action it might take to regularise the butter shipments so as to prevent a recurrence of such slumps in future. The Dairy Control Hoard met in committee, and is considering the report of the delegates who have returned from England. So decision was arrived at. and no statement was made. The conference resumes to-morrow.
