The tote took £73,035, compared with £67,109 last year, the total for the meeting being £197,566, against £179,821 10s last year. Results:—

Wallacevillo Handicap—Kalukaua 1. Wench 2, Otauru 3. Won by a length, third half a length away. Time 2.21-}. County Handicap—Star Ranger 1, Copper Nob 2, H.vnma 3. Won by half a length away. Time 1.40}. Hopeful Stakes—Anthonie 1, Lic-ini-us 3, Star Stranger 3. Won by half a length, third a length away. Time 60 secs.

Alelrose Handicap—Kilris 1, Star Shell 2, Jubilance 3. Won by a head, third nose behind. Time 1.27}. Summer Handicap—Fools’ Paradise 1, Martian Aliss 2, Snatcher 3. -Won by half a length, third half a length. Time 1.39. Consolation Handicap—Suggestion 1, Deucalion 2, Kilceit 3. Won by a length, third half a length. City Handicap—llka 1, Last Crust 2, Merit 3. Won by a length each way. Time 1.11-J.
