The biggest political sensation for many a day has dev,-lolled with the announcement that Senator Borah, Chairman of the .Foreign Relations Committee. is breaking with the administration regarding the tinancial agreement signed at Paris last week. “ It is a dangerous step which may entangle America in Europe and make this Government morally, if not legally, responsible as a partner of the Allied Rowers who are enforcing the reparations payments against Germany.” said Senator Borah when reviewing the situation. Senator Borah’s slop is reminiscent of the late Senator Ix/dgc’s revolt against AYilson which nullified the League of Nations. Senator Borah’s influence has grown greatly since lie succeeded Senator Lodge and lie has been quite frank in declaring his opposition to the policy towards the Soviet.
