LATE LOCALS.
The annual ball of the Kanieri Cricket Club takes place in the i’ublic Hall, Kanieri on Wednesday evening. Air .J O’Brien, M.l’., delivered a post-sessional address to a well-attend-ed meeting in the Memorial M.i .. xu niaru, on Saturday eiening. - 1 Benyoii (Mayor of Kumara) presided, and welcomed Air O’Brien to Ivumara. He said that. Air O’Brien had always tried to do his best for the district and if his efforts were sometimes not successful, everyone knew he was a trier. After speaking for about one and a half hours, question* and discussions were invited. None being forthcoming a heartv vote of thanks, carried with acclamation was tendered to AH O’Brien. A vote of thanks to the Mayor, for presiding, was also heart! > gi veil.
