Strongheart, the wonder dog, is scheduled, for an appearance at the Princess ) hentre to-night in his latest First National picture “The Love Master.” Jt derives its title from the fact that in this play Strongheart selects his own master without regard to who has legal title to him. The story is laid in tin' sparsely settled regions of Canada and centres about the mystery of the young man who has arrived with Strongheart and ends with the solution of the mystery and the love victory of the young belle of the settlement along with the hoy from the States. A dog race, filmed during the progress of a real one contested hv the host teams in Canada for prises offered by Laurence Trimble and Jane Murfin, producers of the picture, provides some real thrills. Strongheart''s love idyl! provides real comedy, and for .sheer drama the light waged h.v Strongheart against Death on behalf of his “love master’’ has seldom been equalled on the screen. A two-reel comedy and further chapters of “The Eagle’s Talons” complete the programme to-night. On Wednesday and Thursday next for two nights the world’s greatest favourite, Jackie Coognu will appear in his latest First National success entitled “Circus Days” so everyone in’ Hokitika will have a chance of seeing this great picture. Another item of special interest on the same programme i.s a Pot Pound act, given by Mr (Pizza, the world famous joggling cop. 'Prices for this evening will he dress circle 2s. downstairs Is fid, children 6d.
