The second day’s play in the Dominion 'Championship Pairs took place at Wellington to-day, rounds four ami five being ployed, together with neetioifties. The beautiful weather favouring the tournament continued, hut the greens were not quite so fiery as on the previous days. A rather tricky breeze at times interfered semewhat with the play, especially on the more exposed greens. The games wore keenly contested. and at the conclusion of the fifth round, the position was as lollows:
