McLEAN'S PICTURES. “CAUSE FOR DIVORCE” TO-NIGHT Absolutely the finest picture of the year is to be seen this evening tit .McLean's Pictures in the Princess Theatre. The title ot this sex drama i.s ‘•Cause for Divorce”, starring Fritzi Brunette, and Pat O’Malley Laura Weston, a young college girl, is loved hy both poor Tom Parker, a college football star, and rich .Martin Sheldon. Contrary to expectations, she marries Parker, only <o find that after four years of married life poverty isn’t so sweet. Only Ha urn’s love for their three-year-old son, Tommie, keeps her with her hii-band. and when Tom sour., taken a job as ranch manager out of the city, she lets him go alone. The afternoon he leaves, Laura chances to see a picture in a magazine of Martin Sheldon, who has risen to great power, and goes to him for help. Sheldon sends the silly girl to the beach and follows the same afternoon. 'While on the sand with Sheldon, Tommie Jr., chances to become acquainted with one of Laura’s former professors who thinks Laura, and Sheldon are married and Tommie is their son. In the embarrassing situation that follows, Laura is brought to see that she has been a coward in not staying with her husband. Sheldon leaves Laura with the threat that lie will never lfelp her again, hut the girl is glad to see him go. Parker, on the ranch, is lonesome for his wife and baby, and is overjoyed at her arrival and her promise to help him through life. In Sheldon's home a. new problem is taking shape. His daughter, Ruth, i.s married to Howard Metclilf, a young lawyer, who spends most of hard at work and leaves Ruth to a series of parties and a. growing love affair with Count Ramon Lorenz, who, at an opportune moment, convinces Ruth she should run away with him. Failing to got word from Lorenz’s partner, Howard goes with a. friend, a doctor, to his offices, and lie is phoning in another effort to locate Ruth, when in walks Lorenz seeking medical attention. In the inevitable battle that follows, Howard is about to fill Lorenz's eyes with acid when the office door is broken down by the detectives, who have Lorenz's partner’s confession that Ruth lias not been seen by them since leaving the city.
