UPHEAVAL DAMAGECAPETOWN. January IT. It is announced that the whole question of compensation for damage of property in the Rami in the 1922 upheaval will he submitted to Parliament for decision. This arises from Lloyd’s repudiation of claims on the ground that they could not lie recovered in respect to damage by Government forces. On the other hand, the Government Compensation Commission ruled that compensation could not he awarded in the case of insured persons. The Minister of Finance now intends to propose that such claims he met from the public funds,
