ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. A MEDIUM IvNTRY. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.), CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Meusi”. 11. Mi/son and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington ya—.ls yesterday:— Store Sheep A fair sized yarding, comprising mostly lambs and wethers. The market throughout was a good one, buyers being very keen, especially lor good rape lambs and forward wethers. Best Jambs- Ills fid to Ills; medium 29s to ;Us; cull lambs 2Ts to -Os l()d. Best lor ward wethers 30s to oils 1 Id. oflicis 23s (id to Jos 8d; S.M. rotnney owes H!)s to 42s 3d; others and aged, lit for rape 2;is lid to 2<is lid. 'Ewes and lambs all counted 23s to 25s fid; extra good Jos Id. Store cattle —A small yarding and again only small and nondescript lots, no quotable lines offering, lint the sale throughout was keen. Store pigs- A good entry and the sale opened firmer and held I ill the latter end of the sale when prices receded 3s to .|s. hut still must lie considered good all through. Values. light porkers 48s to 555; heavy 58s to 655; average 7d to B',d ; light bat-oners £3 12s to £4 4s; heavy choppers £'-’ 10s to Co. A good entry brought forward and anything showing quality sold readilv. Inferior to rough sorts were hard to sell. Values, verniers 22s to 20s. extra to 80s; small store 33s to Ills, medium -Ids to 48s; large .“Os to 545. Beef A medium yarding and the quality was very irregular and a large proportion of cows. The market all round was 10s to 15s nor head firmer, ami this rise was most apparent in any good quality sorts. Prime wethers 42s Od to 465: extra to 50s 10.1: medium 39s ta_4-s: othcu down to 375; prime owes J.s bd to 4 )s. extra to -lbs; medium 33s to 3os; otlieidown to 265. y nt lambs —A small yarding and the quality was very in and out. The market was firm at last- week s rates quite l o ><1 over alt. Prices still look firm.
