In the singles championship, nut of 111 competitors. 117 were eliminalod on Aloiiday. To-day the others were reduced to five namely, Tonkin (Dunedin), Kerr (M,astirrton i, Tyrcll (Alastertmi). AA <>ol-l-ey (Bemuera), and Best (Dunedin), who have each lost one game.
