The plot is a very attractive and exciting one. with quite a number of problems that will hold the interest of patrons to the last line. There will he a full supporting programme and music l>v the full orchestra. Though a special attraction, the usual picture prices will-prevail. MASTER PICTURES. “RIDE FOR YOUR LIFE” TUESDAY. At the Opera II ouse on Tuesday night Afaster Pictures present “Ride for Your Life.” The picture was produced by Universal under the direction of Edward Sedgwick, and this Gibson-SeJg-wick combination has apparently become almost a “trust” its Significance to the Universal Company. Virtually all of Gibson’s most worth while pictures have been filmed under Sedgwick’s guiding megaphone, such as “Blinky,” “Out of Luck,” “The Hamblin’ Kiel” and “llook and Ladder.” The now Gobsin film is an out and out western drama, away out A\ cst in California in the days of stage coach bandits and gold camps along the creeks, when tho motion picture metropolis was a- scrub soaked rendezvous for prospectors and adventurers. It is comedy, and is packed with laughs, it has an element of drama and a human interest .story, hut the comedy, plus some wonderful riding and last shooting, is the chief entertainment feature. It’s the store of a cowboy who pi lived bandit, to please his girl, who had her nvn romantic notions, and preferred had heroes to good cowboys of negative heroic temperament. The cowboy oets involved in a lot of trouble when The girl’s father, a. straight shooting sheriff, gets on his trail, which makes a lot of fun for the audience. Laura Fa Plante makes an adorable heroine. An International Nows and Century comedy, with Bonetti’s Orchestra completes a fine programme.
