SUNDAY TEACHERS’ SUMMER SCHOOL.
WEEK-END PROCEEDINGS. During Saturday morning the school work eiintinned. Miss Park directed a demonstration training class. Aliss Elliott completed her most instructive addresses, taking “ The Adolescence ” a.s her .subject. In the evening the students entertained one another and also those ol the Hokitika residents who joined them. The entertainment was of an extremely miscellaneous character and considering the scant material at their disposal the performers are to he complimented on their productions, which if not exactly instructive were certainly amusing.
On Sunday at 10 a.in. the Rev. 1 1 . C. Lawrence gave an address on the life of Alary Bird. At o p.m. Misses Kenworthy and Summerly told of their work among the Maoris. Mrs (air. who for years was a missionary in India, then spoke of the qualifications necessary to a missionary. All who loul the privilege of hearing .Mrs Canare not. likely to forget her inspiring and illuminating advice.
