Sailers. J. J. Mclntosh. 11. Adamson and 1). .). Kvans. The minutes of the previous meeting were confirmed. On the motion of the Chairman, a vote of sympathy with AL' (1. Adamson and family in the late bereavement was carried ia solemn form. Airs Grinitiutiid wrote conveying thanks for expression of sympathy in id cut bereavement.
Sergt. King notified the registration of humane killer for use in connection with iinv fatal maiming of horses al race meetings. 'l’he Prime .Minister and others acknowledged invitations to the late race meeting. The Treasurer submitted a statement of the receipts and expctnliiuro in coiineciioii with the recent meeting. The gross receipts were £ I.• l?/ 18s. and the expenditure niter providing lor interest payments. £1532 lls Id. leaving a credit l-ahime ol £l9-) le ILL to provide for painting liahilitieand repairs to track. ’l’lie statement was received and adopted, and accounts passed for payment. The payment on account of taxation in connection with the meeting to the Government was £1037 10s 7d. Votes of thanks were passed to all who had assisted at the meeting. Tn connection with the valuable honorary work iierf.n med bv the ladies in so; revising arrangements lor the luncheon rooms etc.. Mesdames Rut.himl. Appleton and Stuart were elected honorary members of the Club on the motion of Air Ah-Gregor, seconded bv Air Ab hrtosh.
The Secretary reported in ri _an! to cover for fire insurant c purposes. and it was resolved to increase the same hv £IOSO, bringing the total cover on buildings and plant to C3.G'K>.
'fhe programme for the autumn meeting on Wednesday. April L>, was approved as follows:—Trial handicap. 0 furlongs. £7O; Faster Hurdles, about l 1 miles. £9O: Express Trot, sadtlle. (2.351 1 utile. £7O: Autumn Handicap. f> miles, £130; President's Handicap. -1 furlongs. £7O; Dominion Trot, harness (3,53 V 11 miles £80; High Weight Handicap. 7 furlongs. £80: Railway Handicap. 61 furlo"--. £7O. Total of Stakes £6OO. Nominations were fixed at £l. and till aixeptan e at £1 each. Nominations close April ord.
It was resolved to invite the Hen. Minister of Internal flairs to visit the racecourse on the occasion of his approaching visit to the Coast. Various genera! matters ol management, were discussed and the meeting concluded at 9.30 o clock.
