ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. BEEF AND KAMI) BIKE. (By Telegraph.—Special to Buardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Afessr' 11. Mrfson and Co., report as follows regaiding their stock sale at Addington ya-ds yesterday:— Store Sheep—A fair sized yarding, including consignments from the Chathams and Marlborough. The yarding comprised mostly wethers, also a fair proportion of ewes and lambs, with a few pens of rape lambs. The market was good, especially for the best wethers and forward Jambs. Ewes with
lambs, all counted made 22s 3d to 00s lid. 2-tooth I-hred ewes 38s (id. six and eight ditto 3Gs lid. best torward wethers 00s to 30s. others 32,s to Jls (id. 2 tooth ditto to 30s, rape lambs 2Ds (hi to 32s Id. Store Cattle--A very small yarding, mostly of cows and non-descript lots. Practically no quotable lines were offered. The demand from both graziers and potters was very keen. Two yrs. jersey heifers made jo tr: 15s, best cows' £2 1 os, to £1 10s. others £3 to Co. Bees'. ~ A .smaller yarding, hardly
■10(1 bead corning forward. The quality was generally better and the yarding was hardly as la roe in proportion of cows as usual. The market was Jjrmer by 23s to 30s per head and practically on same level as at the double market. Prime steers made CIO to £l3 os, extra to £2O 10s, medium £l2 Ins to £l3 10s, others down to £O, prime heifers CS lAs to £lO As. extra to £ll 7s lid, others £(! lAs to C 8 10s. prime cows £3 lAs to £ll As. extra to £l3 2s 6(1. medium £0 1A« to C'S 10s. others down to £3. Fat pigs.—A good entry <a me iorw'a rd of haconers and porkers and the demand for both classes was good. Tallies were: Light porkers £2 7s to £2 12s, heavy £2 13s to C 3 (is. average price Old to 7d : light haconers £3 10s to C 3 13s, heavy £.| to C l os. average prn e Gd to Old; choppeis £- 10s in £o. Store pigs—A good yarding and the demand was very good for anything of q ll a 1 itv. Small and inferior verniers were 'easier, hut god-sorts sold well. Medium and large stores sold at late rates. Small verniers made IBs to 20s, better sorts 23s to 2(is, small stores 30s to 365. medium 38s to -lAs. large io 3 Is. Mutton. — A medium yarding and a larger (loporliun ol wethers than usual. The quality generally was excellent and the sale was firm thrnugh--1 out. although tilings were slightly ! easier towards the finish.
