An Oktntl correspondent writes: The residents of Okurti ami surrounding districts met in Okurti Hall lor the purpose of tendering a social and dance to Mr K. Trevatlum on the occasion ot bis last trip to Okurti as until contract'll'. A most enjoyable evening was spent, and a handsome present of a well-filled purse was made to Air Trcvatlian showing that services rendered during It's term of five years as mailman were appreciated by all. Reference was made to the capable manner in which lie performed his arduous duties, under extremely trying conditions, proving himself an able and trust worthy servant to the Postal Department and a most courteous and obliging mail man. Mr Trevalimn suitably responded. thanking the assemblage for the kindness shown, and made kindly rel ereuco to the assistance given him on route by the settlers concerned.
