The escapee is a young man named Victor Charles Hugo (Leaves, and is oft. O',in in height, with brown hair grey eyes and a fresh complexion. On July 10 last he was sentenced at Blenheim to two years’ imprisonment for breaking and entering and theft. and lately had been an inmate of the prison at Trentliam, During Thursday he was attached to a gang at work there, lint at A run. he dill not answer the roll call. It is possible that he made for the .direction of the river, and probably nought a hiding-place in the bills.
