EXHIBITION AT DUNEDIN
WEST COAST REPRESENTATION. A meeting of members of local bodies etc., was held at- the Town Hall, Grevmouth, on Friday forenoon, when matters in connection with the AVestCoast Provincial Court at the Exhibition at Dunedin were advanced a. stage Those present were;-—Alessrs AY. H. Parfitt, (clmiij, K, A. Wells, J. AY. Cahvell, J. Steer. J. AY. Greens!tub?. J. J. Jarman, AY. B. Gilbert, AY. J. Puttier. J. B. Dell and 1). J. Evans, secretary. Apologies were made for Alessrs Holland, ABF., \Y. J. Jeffries, Fleming and llark-cr. A telegram of apology for absence was received from Air J. O’Brien. M.P. The secretary of the Exhibition (Air AY. IB Spencet wrote expressing appreciation of the efforts of the Committee to establish a West Coast Court and inclosing information as to the rent and space. The Secretary read out the report (already published in full) drawing up suggested conditions for the organisation for the. AVest Coast Provincial Court. Air Greenslade said tile report should receive the consideration and approval of the local bodies. He considered it a. very fine and comprehensive one. Mr AYells said he was a little disappointed that all local bodies were not represented at the meeting. They needed tin put plenty of Hgfiigor” into their efforts. He moved that copies of the report he scut to all local bodies. The motion was seconded Tiy ATr Bell and carried. Mr Cahvell asked if the various local bodies were favourable to granting the amount allocated to them. The Chairman said as far as the Greymonth Borough Council was concerned. they were quite agreeable to give every assistance financially. Air Steer Raid that the local bodies he written to asking them if they were prepared to meet the contributions allocated to them. He could assure them of every help on the part of the Greymonth Harbour Board. The report was adopted on the motion of the Chairman seconded by AI r Butler. The Secretary. Alessrs Butler and Jeffries were appointed to deal with urgent matters affecting the committee. Tt was decided to forward a letter of (banks to Air IT. E. Holland, A1.1’.. for his proffered assistance, and ask him to assist- in organising the Buffer district. The dieetin.g concluded with a vote of thank.s-to the chair.
