SYDNEY, January 37 A level crossing accident resulting in the death of AY. M. Hereford, a Church of England clergyman, occurred at Tnggerah. Hereford was driving to Wyong for the evening service when the gatekeeper had closed tiie gate from tile opposite side of the line to which Hereford was approaching. Hereford was unable to pull up in time or did not see the train approaching. He passed through the open gate and stopped directly in front ot the train which was travelling at- 15 miles per hour. Death was instantaneous Hie ear being fast under the engine which caused the engine and six carriages to leave tiie rails. Apparently none of tiie train crew or passengers were injured. BOY SCOUTS.
