January I. - t A tragedy occurred at Dromons last'd’; night, the nine-year-old son of Robert y| Tyson Hodgson, an accountant of Ash- G burton dying from wounds in the throat. The father, who also has slight wounds oil the throat has been ar rested. PRISONED DEGA PTFIIED. CHRISTCHURCH, January 1. Thomas Moody, the prisoner, who escaped from Paparua Prison on Friday morning last, was recaptured last night in a paddock in Hills Road, near Shirley. He made no attempt to run a wav or resist arrest.
