COLOGNE EVACUATION.
[Reuters TEi.Ean.tMß.] ATTITUDE OF ALLIES. LONDON, December 29, The “Standard's” diplomatic correspondent says: Britain does not desire to treat Germany harshly or hastily. On the contrary, she hopes for ail early evacuation of Cologne. The - Allies will probably follow up their present note with a definite pronouncement of Gormnnys’ defaults. If the disarmament demands are carried an evacuation is possible in June. I’AB IS, December 29. The French Government denies that the continued occupation of Cologne endangers the success of the Dawes plan. It points out that the experts, while urging the evacuation of the Ruhr, did not mention Cologne.
