Doth are records; The previous attendance record was 111.20.3. The “Herald” comments that from the winning of the toss onwards, throughout, the run of the game rather favoured the Australians. With fortune smiling a little the other way the game would have been much closer and the result might even have been reversed. In other respects the match was one of the most remarkable tests, ever played, especially in tin* breaking and equalling of records, its sensational collapses, unexpected sitnatinns and recoveries. its series of wonderful partnerships, its duration, grim determination and the lighting spirit of the players throughout. It predicts that the second test will ha a grim and interesting struggle.
SECOND SYDNEY, Dec. Ml). The teams for the second test will he chosen to-morrow. It is anticipated there will he several changes in both, following voluminous press suggestions on the subject. A slight shower fell during the game which finished in just under an hour.
