At iilmut 1 0 o’clock this morning, largo volume's of smoko ami Humes woro seen issuing from the direction of the tip head. The fire brigade were summoned, anil the outbreak was located in a large L railway wagon op. posile the Jlarhotir Hoard's engine sheds, and containing a <|iiantily of lime from the Itoss Lime Company's works, consigned to Mr .1, Ilart. contractor, of Greymoulh. The ISrigade had the onthreak (jtielled in ;i short time, lhtl the lime was completely destroyed, the truck escaping undamaged. The origin of the lire is unknown, hut it is supposed to have keen caused by combustion, due to the heavy rain last evening.— “ Argus.”
