Annie and AY id using their friends names correspond, and Alary is persuaded to go West to meet a “ wealthy, chivalrous ranch owner; object matrimony. A leaping, surging fury if unleashed llooil waters —roaring down the valley with irresistible force and terrilfic speed—smashing, sweeping, destroying II before it —forest giants, a whole township —and men, women and children fiercely battling for dear life! And on a frenzied terror—a beautiful girl—blind and helpless—caught between two evil forces that meant deatli or dishnnourd—the raging torrent and the brute who, blinded by her beauty, swore to possess her!
