It. however, transpires that the Ministry is divided on the subject and such is likely to cause Ministerial disruption. In view of this, and the not distant general election, the indications are that the Government will take the safer course of eschewing heroics. RACING IN ENGLAND. ADELAIDE, December 23. Dick Wootton has arrived from England and he intends to stay in Australia. Discussing racing in England, he saiil the class of horses has fallen back. The depreciation has been especially noticeable since tin* war period. Racing is flourishing and there is more money in the game than before, but despite that many Englishmen raced for the love of sport only, it would not be long before tbev would have to more seriously consider the business side as in Australia.
