CONFERENCES TO BE CALLED. [Reuters Telegrams.] LONDON, Dee. 10. It is understood that two Empire Conferences of supreme importance are to he called .shortly. The first is the Economic; Standing Conference. ol which the membership includes the High Commissioners, or other official re|>rcsentatives of the Dominons, unless the Dominions prefer to send Ministers for the purpose. The Economic Conference is for the purpose of consultation regarding the application <>l the preference resolutions at the last Imperial Conference, and also the allocation of the million pounds annual trade grant. Secondly, the Imperial Government contemplate calling a Conference ol Empire Prime Ministers about Match per tlie purpose of arriving at an agreement on the Geneva Protocol.
