McLEAN’S PICTURES. “A YANKEE GO-GETTEIL” FRIDAY “A Yankee Go-Getter” is the title of the feature attraction at the Princess Theatre on Friday. 'This picture, stalling Neva Gerber, i.s the first of a series of four productions made by Bonilla Film Corporation especially for Miss Gerber. “A Yankee Go-Getter” i.s a swift moving, cleverly constructed melodramatic screen story that will find favour with the local patronage. Supporting Miss Gerber is a well-known and capable east especially Jimmy Morrison. famous the world over as a juvenile lead. Morrison plays opposite Miss Gerber in “A Yankee Go-Get-ter” and gives one of the most satisfactory performances of his career. Barry West, a struggling young author, falls in love at first, sight with Lucia Bnbilaut, a girl whom In* helps out in distress on the street. Kbe mysteriously gets away after his first meeting. Barry answers an ad. calling for a young American with initiative and courage to earn ten thousand dollars. With Yankee pluck and resourcefulness tie wins the job against a hundred ether applicants. As a greal adventure he decides to go through with it when he hears that the terms are that lie marry the niece of his employer, Nicholas La.n/.i. At Lanza’s home he is pleasantly surprised to find the girl he is to marry is none other than l.uria. Lucia, unknown to hersell. has a cousin who hears a startling resemblance to her. 'This cousin, Vera, is t he head of a hand of political plotters. She is striving to get the legacy coming to Lucia for use in her political propaganda work. Lanza is also striving for the same end. Vera’s gang kidnaps Lucia. Vera takes her place in Lanza’s home and marries Barry. Barry overhears Lanza, revealing his plans to the secret gang of which he. is leader. These plans are to use Lucia’s fortune now that site has lost it. hv marrying. He reveals tiiis to Vera. Vera then tells him wlm she i.s. She confronts Lanza only to learn that, he is T.sarski. leader of tke same political ~|i,|Ue. The kidna.oped Lucia, however, returns about this time with the police. \ fierce light ensues and the plotters ure captured. Another episode of the popular serial “Lightning Bryce,” a two reel comedy. Guzel toe. will conclude u splendid programme. McGinn's renowned Orchestra, will render appropri:ilc selections.
