The Seamen’s Union lias flouted Air Justice .powers and has hung up the Inter-State passenger steamer Cooma which should have sailed at four this afternoon. AA’hen the sailing time arrived it was then discovered that five ■seamen were absent without leave and the sailing was postponed till AAednc.sIn the Assembly Sir 0. Fuller stated that he regretted the Shipping Labour Bureau was to disappear, hut ho would see that preference under the Act was granted to returned sailor and soldier wharf labourers. The Secretary of the Returned Sailor and Soldier wharf labourers stated that legal proceedings would he taken against the companies that refuse to give bureau members preference.
