The newspapers* strongly criticised the All Blacks, declaring that the offside obstruction and feet up in the scrums were frequent whereof sixteen free kicks were awarded and there ought to have been considerably more. Tho crowd repeatedly shouted “Play the game New Zealand!” Tile “ Dispatch ” congratulates the referee on his firmness and trusts the All Blacks have learnt their lesson in view of their match against England. The “Sunday Times” says that it is a pity with such all round skill that the All Blacks so markedly incurred the referee’s displeasure.
ENGLAND’S* FELL BACK. LONDON, December I I. Lord Lansdow’iie, writing in the “Observer'’ expresses the opinion that there could not be a better full back in the English team against the All Blacks than Raymond, lie would also he an excellent left winger. He added that* it was essential the Englishmen he trained to the minute to prevent the All Blacks carrying out their repeated tactics of scoring most heavily in the second half. ENGLAND’S FULL BACK.
