The Amateur Athletic Union announced that Charles Paddock and Lore! Murchison, America’s two fastest sprinters. have accepted invitations to compete in New Zealand. Australia. Japan, Germany, Sweden ami Finland. The sprinters embark early in January for Honolulu, proceeding to New Zealand. It is estimated that their tour will consume seven months. Mr Murray Halbert, President of the Union, is Commanding the tour. He said: “We hope it will stimulate the development of material everywhere for ]928 Olympic. T believe that stub athletic visits not only promote international sport, but establish a hotter international feeling.
