Beef—There was the largest yarding there has been for some weeks, comprising Mlo head. The quality on the w hole was go id and although prices wore slightly easier than last week’s rates the demand throughout the sale was good and keen for all classes of cattle, except steers. Over MOO were yarded, which were down fully £1 to Cl Ids a head. Then; war. a large tiroportion of the yarding made up of cows which, owing to the Mush of feed were all in good condition. Store pigs—A large entry and prices for all classes were slightly easier than last week, hut the whole entry was cleared with a good demand. .Mutton—There was a small market considering lint prices of late, hut butchers to-day were obviously not keen ami it looks as though prices are bound to case up. Freezing buyers were not operating. Store sheen—A larger yarding than hist week and prices were easier at the start, hut soon hardened up and there was good demand for nil classes.
