In the last few minutes of the game however. Devitt again si ored for Camhriili'i*. but Barlow could not add tbe goal points and Oxford won by II to li. Raymond. of New Kinifh Wales, though in an unfamiliar position at lull back, was the most outstanding success of the match, and except, lor an occasional tendency to play over far. bis display was nract icall.v faultless, enhancing bis claims for recognition by the international selectors. Wallace and Ailken constituted all effective light wing, and lilayed with splendid understanding. The former’s try was the result of a brilliant individual ellort. in which be beat four men. Aitken’s defensive toueb finding was noteworthy. West-In* was always conspicuous ill the Oxford puck, which although eclipsed in tbe loose, held its own ill tin* sefiuniiliiges and tight work against tbe heavier Cambridge men.
