December 10. l’addon has announced he has decided to let the world’s sculling championship go to McDevitt, but stipulates that this is on condition that McDevitt and Good so II have first race for the title. The winner is then to row Hadfield if the latter wants a race for the title. In the event of McDevitt and Goodsoll not agreeing to the conditions, l’addon states that both will have to race him in the New Year.
