[Reuters Telegrams.] Cl 10R.MAX JOIjIOCTIOXS. POLLING PROCIOKDIXG. (Received this day at 11.25 a.m.) BIORLIX, December 7. There is polling in the Reichstag elections throughout Germany to-day. There have been no disturbances and indications are that the poll will be very heavy though not so heavy as last May. Decorated motor cars, bauds, etc paraded the streets all day long. Women are appearing in large numbers at the polling booths. Minor conflicts occurred in the Beilin Provinces, but they were not attended with serious casualties. The results arc being broadcasted and crowds are gathering at various points to watch for the first returns. The final result will not be known for some days. MONARCHISTS’ AIMS. PARIS, December 7. The German elections evenuatc on the seventh, including those for the occupied area. Although twenty-live parties have submitted lists, the contest will be mainly between groups supporting a Republic and those supporting a Monarchy. The results arc not expected to produce sensational changes. The Monarchists, if victorious, will proceed slowly constitutionally and will probably put forward one of the ex-Kai-ser’s popular sons, Prince Fil'd or Prince August, as a candidate for the Presidency when Herr Ebert’s term expires shortly. 'l’his is the first step to the restoration of the .Monarchy.
