McLEAN’SPICTURES. •• MODERN MATRIMONY to-night. To-night (Saturday) McLeans present the greatest anil best comedy ever shown, “ Modern Matrimony,” starting Owen Moore and Alice Lake, has for its opening scenes what we usually accept as the well-known “final closeups,” as the hero and heroine are just entering into the bonds of matrimony, and the entire story has to do with their trials and tribulations alter marriage. Chester and Patricia Waddington arc just young folks who have rushed into matrimony without much deliberation, believing with the usual youthful optimism, that the future will take eate of itself. What iittle money they have in sight, they pledge as a first payment oil an instalment bungalow and instalment furniture, and flien Chester takes a flyer with the money, with the inevitable result that when the first payments are due they have nothing with wlifch to pay then’,. The amusing complications which develop make for excellent comedy. The supporting cast is exceptionally good. The supports include, a gazelle. Rathe News and the wonderful serial “ Lightning Hryee,” with the full orchestra supplying attractive music.
