Mr Austell Chamberlain (Foreign Secretary) went to Paris this morning, on route to Rome. A DA IMS SENSATION. PARIS. December f. Tin* latest sensation in Paris is the return of -ex-Clipth .Sadoul. an exFrench Communist who was sentenced to death ill 1919 for giving intelligence to the enemy. He is now a naturalised Russian.
The “Petit Parish'll’’ says Sadoul lias been attached to the Soviet-Em-bassy which the French police are watching with the intention of arresting Sadoul immediately he emerges, loit “l.e Journal'' and the "Matin’’ was informed that Sadoul is not at the Embassy, which told them the Russians are scrupulously adhering to their promise not to interfere in French domestic affairs. The “Matin” says Sadoul is not hiding. hut has returned expressly to contest his death sentence. Sadoul lias been arrested in a lawyer's
