Professor Sheldon's efforts will consist of an attempt to confirm by a different process the results achieved by Professor Adolph Mietho, of Beilin. A duplicate of Prolessor Micthe's apparatus has been sent to New York. It comprises n. quart/, lamp and electric paraphernalia. The theory is that, a current of 170 volts and an undetermined amperage will crack the atoms of quicksilver leaving gold. Professor Miethe recently said that his discovery would have no immediate effect on the value of gold because of the excessive cost of production.
