McLEAN’S PICTURES. “SUNSHINE HARBOUR,” FRIDAY. McLean’s present on Friday night Margaret Beecher, in tho Playgoers’ feature, “Sunshine Harbor.” She brings youth, boundless energy, a vivacious and wholesome personality, and real talent. This grand-daughter of Henry Ward Beecher, and grand-niece of Harriet Beecher Stowe, is seen as a Southern belle anxious to be something more than a coquette. Ambitious to lie a writer, she ilees North from a loveless marriage and finds refuge in the assumed name of Smith, and a reporter’s position on a newspaper. An accident in a. motor boat caused Betty Hopkins to stay away from home all night. Her father, who belonged to an aristocratic Southern family, was in a fury at lu-r absence. His* doubt of her innocence caused a novel string of unexpected incidents to happen. The love of two men. one of whom .she spurned; a career as a reporter on a big daily paper, and an explosion changed her life materially. Good supporting programme of comedy and gazette with full orchestra.
