ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. DROP IX IiFF.F. MUTTON' (3IKS FI 1 . (By Telegraph.—Special to Uuardiaa) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs H. .Matson anil Co., report as follows regarding their stock salo at Addington yards yesterday:— Store Sheep. A comparatively small yarding, including several lines of shorn dial ham sheep, as well as one big line of woolly wethers from Xoith (’anlerbury. There were not many ewes and lambs olfered. The market was very linn all round. Woolly wethers made 30s Oil to 15s ltd, woolly ewes and lambs 21s lllil to 30s (all counted), forward shorn wethers 31s to 3-ks 3.1, others 31s (Id to 33s (id. smaller and colls 21s Id to 2lis Sd. The first line of store lambs lor the season made 2Ss Id and they were only medium lambs at that: There were no shorn ewes and lambs in. Store C'atle.—-There were only a med-
ium entry lint this included one or two pens of good young cattle, which sold very well. Cows, odd lots, for potting also sold well and any good young cows in decent condition met with a good demand from the graziers. One pen of fairly good I year steers made L'7 IDs, IS month steers to LI 10, yearling steers to L'3 12s, cows 30s to L'3 10s, steers down to 15s.
Fat Pigs.—Quite a good entry, but the demand was weaker than last week, Values were: light porkers L2 Ss la L2 12s, heavy, L'2 I Is to £2 ISs (id, average price (!) to 7J, light haeoners L 3 5s to L 3 15s, heavy LI, to LI 10s, average price (id to ti,'d, choppers L'3 to L 5.
Store Pigs.—A large entry, the market being slightly easier owing to a decline in fat pig prices. Weanors sold well. Values were: Moaners, 23s (id to 20s; small stores 2tis to 325; medium 35s to 13s; large, to 55s ; sows in pig L"2 Ss to LI 15s. Beef.—Another large yarding, 520 head and following on last week's sale there were rather too many for butchers’ requirements; consequently, the market showed a further drop of quite 20s per head. The quality generally was good, and included about 70 from the North Island. Prime steers made L'ls to Llti 15s; extra to LIS 15s : medium Ll 3to LI 1 15s; lighter CIO to Ll2 10s; others down to L 0; prime heifers £9 15s to Ll2 os; • extra to £l3 17s (id; steers down to £0 15s. Prime cows L 9 10s to £ll 15s; extra to £l3; medium £ls to C 9 ss; others down to £-1 os.
Mutton.—A very small yarding and on to;i of the small lamb entry the market- showed a decided advance of quite 2s to 3s above last week. Practically no woolly sheep were yarded. Prime Wethers made 15s to 50s (id: extra to 575; show extra to 70s Gil: medium 40s to 44s lid ; others down t,o 355; prime ewes 39s to 47s Gd ; extra to 50s 9d, medium 34s to 37s Gd, others down to SSs.
