HOKITIKA MOTOR CYCLE CLUB.
In ideal weather the postponed inaugural run of the local motor cycle Club took place last Sunday, tlie destination being Lake Kanieri. At 111.11 a.in. the number and variety ol “autos'' assembled at, tlie clock tower, spoke well, not only for a good day bill nlso for the success <;i the Club. Aitei the inevitable delay caused by the amateur photographer some fitted! mntnieyclists headed by the elder members arrived at the Lake, where the road being particularly conducive to a good appetite, the immediate proceedings need hardly be recorded, except that a guml number thought it nocossai\ to remove the inevitable dust ot the road indeed it was a line sight to see some of the ‘kings" of the track disporting like porpoises around the jetty. After lunch the party proceeded round the lake as far as “Dr Tei.l.elman's hut.” where in an “aii’-cuiilcil rendezvous, the aims of the Club and the season's programme were the main topics. All were emphatic as to the necessity of upholding the espnt-dc-corps of the road. A subsequent meeting led to the election of the following: Patron—Dr Teichelmati.
