TJio executive met at the Westland County Chambers at 7.10 pm. Present:—Messrs W. J. Duller (voted to the chair), D. J. Evans, A. 0. Pilkington, J. Morris and Dr Teichclmanu, An apology was made lor the absence ol’ Messrs Bruce and Jeffries. The minutes of the previous meeting were confirmed, and outward correspondence approved. 1N WA RI) COR R ESPONDENCE. Erom. Publicity Department, Wellington, notifying that negatives forwarded by Dr Teichclmanu had been enlarged and prints supplied to the Tourist Office at Greymouth.—Recciv-

Erom District Traffic Manager forwarding particulars of freight by rail from East Coast cities to Hokitika.— Received with thanks. From Automobile Association asking support to complete the new road from Kumara Junction to Awatuna.—Received. It was explained that C2OO was available for expenditure this year. It was deeided to support the request for the completion of the road.

GENERAL. Dr Teiehelmann referred to the issue of the booklet “A Holiday in Westland.” C'oiiies laid on the table were admired and a cordial vote of thanks was passed to Dr Teiehelmann for his well-directed efforts in the matter. It was decided to go into the question of the necessary finance at the next

melting. Mr Pilkington reported >" regard to loading in South Westland and the interview with the Commissioner of Crown Lands.—Approved. A renort was received from Mr C'litnie in respect to the booklet which had a most favourable reception in Christchurch.

Mr Ruler reported regarding a dry ing-kiln.—-Received. The meeting concluded at 8.15 l'.ni
