AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CAULK ASSOCIATION BAC'INCi Si’ABLE FIBF. SYDNEY, November lth Trainer Booth’s stables at Bosehil were destroyed by fire. Six racehorse. l were entrapped, and they had it narrowescape. The stable bovs released tin maddened animals. Some were scorched, but none were seriously injured. A large number of horses in adjoining stables were also turned into the paddocks. It was difficult work alterwttrds securing the frightened beasts.
BIH NEWCASTLE BLAZE. SYDNEY. November 10
Almerieks tar distillery at Newcastle was destroyed by fire. A tremendous blaze raged all night. 4be brigades, helped by a favourable wind, were able to keep the fire from spreading to the adjoining premises and made a good -avc. The damage amounts to many thousands.
