Tuesday ruing, the contract ing parties being Aims .Margaret Phelan, eldest- daughter of tin* late Air and Airs P. Phelan. Mreyinoiitli, to Air Humphrey -Shannon, eldest son'of Air and the late Airs I’. Shannon, Kaiiiuita. 'lhe bride, who entered the church on the arm of Mr C. Ileaphy, Mreyinoiil h, looked charming in a Rock of lawn marocain, with Oriental trimmings, with hat to match. The bride was attended hy her sister Aliss Mai,\ Phelan, as hridemaid, who was al(ired in a green marocain Irock with hat to match. Mr C. Eib'-gerald, of Christchurch, attended as best man. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father l.ondeu. Many friends of the hridc and bridegroom who are attending the racing carnival were present. Mr and Mrs .Shannon 101 l later lor a honey moon tour of the North Island, the hridc travelling in a brown mamvain fmek with hat to match. IIorRKK YCFNM. The wedding was Kv Archdeacon Carr in in 'Holy Iriiidy Church. Hrcymoiilh, yesterday, when Mr J. L. Hotn ke, of Cohdeii. was married Miss Hose K. Young of Roddytown The bride was attended hy Aliss 1> |. Iloiirke, and Mr K. was best man. After the ceremony, the wedding party was .'illerf allied al 1 lei'll Moore’ Tea Hooiiis.
