THE NEW CONGRESS. r Reuters Teleouams.] NEW YORK, November 0. With forty-five Congressional districts unreported, the Republicans have won ‘2lB seats, including nearly a score from the La Eolette Insurgents. The Democrats have won 170 seats. The Farmer-Labour Party have so far won two seats.
These figures show a nett Republican gain of sixteen over the Democrats. With six contests uncertain, the Republicans hah’e won seventeen seats and the'Democrats eleven seats, giving the Repuhlii ans a gain of throe seats in the .Senate. With four States still doubtful, President Cooidgo, has thirty States with 307 electoral college votes. Mr Davis lias twelve States with 13(5 votes.
Senator La Folctte has one State; with thirteen votes.

Thc ability of Ihe Republican organisation to control the new Congress hinges on the outcome of the Senatorial contests in Minnesota, New Mexico and Wyoming. It will probably have at host hare working majority over the Democrats and the La Folctte insurgents combined.
If the Republican candidates for two or, three of the docbtlul States are Victorious and the vacancy in Connecticut is filled by a Republican, the Democrats and La Folettc supporters combined, would fall two short of a majority. The Rcpulicnns are leading .Minnesota and Wymoing and Mr Close (Democrat) is'leading in New Mexico. The House line up with sixteen Congressional districts doubtful, was: Republicans 238, Democrats 177. Four of the missing nine arc now stated to lm Democrats and seven Republicans. Mr Coolidge’s huge popular vote continues to mount.
