IOHTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION. FOR DSDAI.IC TROUBLE AHA IX. SYDXICY. Xov. fi. The Equity Court last week declared the expulsion from the Seamen’s 1 limn nf a former member of the Fnrdsdale's crew (cabled 211th. Aug.) t" he ultra vires and illegal. The cause ol the trouble mi the Fcrnd.de is that several of the Fnrdsdale’s original crew are being employed on that vessel, anil apparently the Courts’ decision is being Hunted hy the Union. It is understood an offer has bcim made hy the l llinti officials that providing those men who were formerly expelled from the seamen's union agreed to leave the I'crnilnlc immediately, the question of their reinstatement would lie placed before the next stop-work meeting of the I nion. The insinuation of this oiler L that the men affected are not at present members of the l ninii. and that the decision of the Equity Court is being disregarded, and the interim injunction. restraining Union ollicials from interferring with their rights as members of the Union, has not been obeyed. It is staled a certain legal process is being placed in operation.
