ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. A DOUBLE MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian)

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs 11. Matson ami Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— Store slice]). —A comparatively small yarding, mostly dry sheep. Competition was keen all-round and the market generally was firmer. Store cattle.—A fair ■ yarding and again mostly nondescript and odd lots, no ((notable lines offering, and the market all-round was practically the same as last week.

Eat pigs.—Of porkers there was an average entry, and good sale throughout. generally above last week's average. Light porkers £2 7s to £2 15s ; heavy C 3 to CO 15s; 7Jd to Bfd per lh. Haconers, a fairly large yarding. Prime medium weights were, if anything. slightly firmer, whereas heavy sorts were easier. Light haconers (£3 13s to £1 ss; heavy £1 7s fid to £5; average per lh. (ltd to 7d. Choppers. £2 IDs to £7. Store pigs—There was quite a good entry of store l pigs and we could have sold more if we had them. There was a large atleudane of eager purchasers, representing householders round the city, dairy suppliers in the country, and a long range of orders. Small weaners £1 to 2fis, good weaners 28s to 335; small stores 35s to -ins; medium stores 43s to IDs. and large stores up 1. ) 50s.

IVof.—A very large yarding, comprising about 099 head, hut not too many for a double market. ’I he entry included about 2o() head of North Island cattle and taking the quality all round, was one of the hast vardmgs seen at Addington fora long time. Prime shorn wethers 43s to 48s fid; extra to 52s fid, medium 38s to 435, others down to 32s ; prime shorn ewes 37s to 445, extra 48s. medium 30s fid to 30s fid: others to 20s fid.
