AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. (Received this day at 8 n.m.) ADELAIDE. Nov. 4. The cricket was continued in fine weather on a good wicket. Victoria in the Ist. innings made 343 (Ryder 42. Love 22, Liddicutt 43. Hendry 18). Gimmett took i wickets for nr! South Australia in the second innings have hist I for 30. (A. Richardson 40. Murray 24, V. Richardson 17). The Victorian batsmen' played defensively, but went for the loose stuff, and runs came mainly in singles. Ryder played soundly and drove well, hut did not hit one boundary. Liddicutt livened up the game and scored seven in one over and seventeen in the next. He hit six fours and one six. The fielding throughout was good and •Emmett's howling was splendid. South Australia opened well and runs were added at the rate of one per minute. A. Richardson hatted confidently and well, scoring without effort oil' all bowling.
